Planting trees on my birthday at 50

On my birthday today, am adding more 350 trees , the trees included grivellia, mangoes , eucalyptus and guavas to our Rukoki school forest.

I was marking my 50th Birthday.

Ofcourse drinks and eats plus a BIRTHDAY CAKE was enjoyed by the multiple orphans and people around me.

The tee planting campaigns project is dedicated to the Kasese Humanist Orphans and its an environmental conservation initiative that aims at protecting nature and its beauty,  saving for the orphans and also as a school sustainable effort to help the school with firewood to prepare school meals.

Attached are some pictures.

Update on the Kirembe Mini farmland

Today I was visiting our small mini farmland in kirembe, a kasese town suburb.

On this small farm we plant bananas, fruit trees of jackfruit, avocadoes, oranges. We plant beans as well. This is a project of Kasese Humanist orphans.

Today ,we were lucky harvesting 2 sweet banana 🍌 pieces.

They are always green when fresh and yellow when ripe. I am happy the jackfruit and avocados there are doing well.

Thriving jackfruit tree on the farm

Food security project initiatives ensures a constant food presence at our establishments all year round.

I also checked on our mini forest as well in this very locality.  One of the musizi trees is getting higher and am reserving it for timber in future years.

Bwambale Robert at 50

Tomorrow 28th August is my BIRTHDAY

Bwambale @50 is such a great achievement in life.

I am so thankful for Nature to favor my existence.  I thank happy humans who have been there for me and all the folks I work with as we labor in creating a better world 🌎 for humanity and its wider biodiversity.

Special thanks goes to my dear wife for all the care and the entire supportive family. To the haters, continue the hate for it's none of my business. I remain focused and committed to persue my dreams and aspirations.

My wish goes to the many children, families, colleagues who think my existence has had a positive impact on  their lives and it's my greater happiness and pride.

Over the years!

I have tirelessly labored much of my time in building schools.

Put in place orphanage care shelters.

Fed multiples of people.

Dressed scores of happy humans

Treated sick people and provided first aid to many.

Offered water to humans.

Fixed stone, mud and brick walls.

Empowered locals with vocational skills.

Offered formal education and counselled those with challenges,

Offered shelter to those who lack it.

Planted crops to benefit humanity.

Planted trees for home, commercial and environmental conservation.

Provided light to those who need it.

Encouraged youths on better paths to go on about life and success.

Empowered and uplifted community groups.

Opened gates to success to a section of vulnerable kids.

Exposed Humanist values, rationalism, science and reason to humanity in my community.

And so many other accomplishments.

One of my recent photos shot today 27th August 2024

For any birthday gifts, it will go to helping the many needy and orphaned children under my care.

Cassava growing at the Bizoha school Muhokya

As harvesting of cassava from our Bizoha school plantation is in progress, we are adding fresh cassava stems in the soil.

This cassava variety we are planting gets to maturity and ready for harvesting in just 6 months.

Cassava growing at the Bizoha school Muhokya

We had initially planted close to 2 acres of cassava and we are grateful that harvesting moments is ongoing.

The cassava is mixed with beans and eaten as lunches or supper, we also dry the cassava and mill it to generate cassava flour eaten as tapioca and much enjoyed by our children and locals, cassava flour can be prepared as porridge and served as breakfast.

Thanks to Nonprofit Industrial Complex for supporting our Food security project programs and this has simplified our efforts of serving more people.

Different ways you can support our school project

Education is vital to breaking the cycle of poverty. But in Uganda, school is not free and we who run as private schools do face lots of challenges here and there. Sometimes the collections aren't enough and some of the parents rarely fulfill their obligations to pay in time due to some unavoidable circumstances.

Kasese Humanist School was founded in 2011 by the Kasese United Humanist Association. It is located in the western region of Uganda. The school is founded on humanist principles and science. It is open to boys and girls from ages 3 – 14. We are entirely a day school and have some few pupils on fullboard.

The school operates as a nonprofit charity company registered with the Uganda Registration Service bureau and the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The school has now grown into three campuses which includes boarding facilities for orphaned children.

Benefits of tree planting campaigns in schools

School Tree Planting projects help connect students to the benefits of trees and foster environmental stewardship.

Neem tree thriving at Kasese Humanist School Rukoki campus  in kasese, Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬

Trees help moderate temperature and muffle noise.

Environmental benefits such as clean air and water.

They even help improve air quality by absorbing some airborne compounds that could be harmful to us, and by giving off oxygen.

Forest moods

They even help improve air quality by absorbing some airborne compounds that could be harmful to us, and by giving off oxygen.

Spending time around trees and in nature also makes us healthier and even improves our students’ academic performances.

Recent scientific studies suggest students are better able to concentrate, complete tasks, and follow directions after playing in natural settings.

Self-discipline in girls can be achieved through increased exposure to nature.

Teachers can use the planting process to discuss the benefits trees provide, while including many subjects that their classes are studying.

Trees conserve energy in the Dry Seasons. Properly planted trees can will help cool schools environments during the dry seasons.

Fruit trees once grown around schools provides free fruits to the school community and students in general.

Some of the pupils at our primary school section sharing avocados πŸ₯‘ picked from one of the trees at school

Having trees around our schools provides as enough shade and during students free time, on a scorching sun they can shelter there.

Trees shaded and trees themselves boost up outdoor learning,  the trees are learning specimens in biology, the trees are habitat to scores of organisms ranging from birds 🐦,  insects,  reptiles and micro organisms.

Okra plants are nutritious

 I harvested this today.

Okra plants/Bamiya

These are called okra or Bamiya locally.

Okra contains beneficial antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Its disease-fighting nutrients promote heart health, blood sugar management and better digestion. Okra also boosts bone health due to its calcium and vitamin K content.

Food security project initiatives keeps us on the move by availing food to our people,  we are maximumly using our lands productively to combat hunger, famine and malnutrition.
