The school started in 2011 and has since then expanded and is found in 3 separate locations on huge expanse of lands they own permanently. The school continue to expand on its building structures here and there.
Recently the school got massive sand deposits when a nearby river at the Rukoki campus flooded and these sands is a great building material and is maximumly utilized in making cement blocks. The stone aggregates too are also present in this location and are too being added to creating concrete which is needed in slabbing floors, ring beams.

Currently, Shawn Bruce Kienitz a Canadian friend of mine and i are running a fundraiser aimed at raising funds to purchase a concrete/Cement mixer. This great product is very important and will provide a long lasting solution to fasten the building works and constructions on the campuses. The mixer can also be hired at a fee and hence can generate an extra income for the school project.

The school has other future projects to invest in like building of cottages for tourists, Safari lodge project, Building staff quarters and Administration blocks at the different campuses, erecting hostels to shelter our students and other students who come and tour the Rwenzori and Kasese regions.
The school has 2 block making machines currently making concrete blocks and a paver making machine. These have gone a long way in availing cheap blocks which has in the short time helped to put up better structures and learning spaces. Below are some of my cement block accomplishments:

Schools, boda bodas, gods places, religious gatherings still in lockdown
President Museveni on Monday said restrictions on boda-bodas, schools, religious gatherings, hawkers, arcades, salons and curfew among others would continue as the country continues to ease the virus induced lockdown.
Mr Museveni, however, adjusted the number of occupants of private cars from three to four, including the driver. He further stressed that all occupants must wear facemasks in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Public transport and taxi service resumed Thursday in Uganda, nearly three months after they were halted to control the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. New restrictions and regulations, mainly on taxis, however, have left many Kampala residents without a ride.

School reopening extended till after 30 days
About reopening of schools for candidate classes as earlier on communicated, the President said this is not possible. I quote him in his own words as below.
“We have decided to postpone the re-opening of schools for candidate leaners for another one month as we prepare more and study the situation,” he said, adding that “two television sets per village equals to 140,000 TV sets” for the entire country.

Its very unfortunate that the schools will have to wait but since its a preventive measure , we have deeper reasons to wait and utilise the current procedures like we are doing of home schooling, encouraging learners to use radios, televisons, study online to those who have access to computers and making good use of educational learning packages on sale in several outlets plus accessing educational pass PLE pullouts in local newspapers.
At Kasese Humanist School, we wish all the students in Uganda and worldover a pleasant, joyful moments and continue putting in place preventive measures against covid19 and other diseases in mind, feed well, learn, help out your parents and stay safe.
