Double Decker beds made for the dormitories

I have sofar made 15 double decker beds and remaining to make more 5 in some days ahead.

The school right now cherishes itself to have these nice beds made for its full board students  and having them enjoy a good night sleep is a priority.

My welders have tried their best to ensure the bunk beds are made to standards and I will be adding rubbers at the stand ends to ensure rust is kept away. I will be adding a coat of paint too to make them look nice as well as keeping them rust free.

Big thanks to UHST for standing with us as we create conducive shelter and learning spaces for our students.

Attached are the images of the beds 🛌 being made on site using our welders and our own welding machines.

Wiring of the Girl's dormitory finalized

Wiring works in progress at the refurbished girls dormitory at Municipal High school Kasese.

Students deserve to live in decent shelters. Thanks UHST for supporting us in this as well.

Every room will have a switch , a light bulb and the corridor will be lit with two electric bulbs and this work has been finalized.

A security light has been fitted at either ends on the facility as well. The building is supplied with AC and Solar power as a backup.

With science, we can progress.  I am so glad having my electrician accomplish this work in the shortest time possible.

Successful harvest season

The orphans and needy children have deeper reasons to feast on the food as we open for the 2024 calendar year sometime soon.

We have harvested and stocked 8 sacks from our Muhokya Bizoha farmland and today we weighed 826 kilograms of corn 🌽 dry seeds, we shall be milling at different times as we consume.

Food security project initiatives helps us to combat hunger, poverty, malnutrition and other food deficiency diseases.

In our other gardens, we are expecting more corn to come in as some are still drying up in the fields.  Our cassava too is steadily growing up well and in May we shall start feasting on it.

We are so thankful for the vast farms we own to provide the farming grounds which are not only helping us as a school but to the teachers and the entire community.

Attached are snapshots of the harvests.

More concrete blocks to create sheltering and learning spaces

My block maker guy is steadily doing another round of making more concrete blocks to help me accomplish new tasks as I upgrade the dorm facilities.

Africa and my motherland UGANDA still needs learning and skilling places to help get our people out of poverty, ignorance  disease and irrational superstitious beliefs.

Adding some ceilings in the dorm room units

Works on adding ceilings in the girls dormitory room units is ongoing.

The guys are working around the clock to finalize it in time and am optimistic soon they will conclude the work.

Putting ceilings in the rooms has a lot of benefits and makes the rooms noise proof, adds attractiveness,  privacy and comfort,  stops mosquitoes movement from room to room etc.

Attached are some images of the ongoing ceiling works.

Improving showers at our girls hostel

Outdoor showers for the girls dormitory wing is coming out in shape.

I remain committed 💯 to creating a decent sheltering space with meaningful sanitary and waste disposal management.

Thanks Uganda Humanist Schools Trust for supporting this cause.

Decent showers 🚿  and better toilets ensures good personal hygiene , it's one way of combating diseases as it ensures the waste disposal management becomes simplified.

There will be 5 shower rooms and 3 toilets to be used by the girls living in our hostel.

Construction works of this facility is ongoing and will be completed soon.
