Corn 🌽 harvesting in progress at our plantations

In my BETTER SUNDAY ACTIVITIES I was participating in a corn 🌽 harvesting spree with my son and our shamba boy at the Kasese Humanist Orphans Bizoha campus Muhokya plantation.

The harvested corn are foods benefit the schools as in boosting our nutritional needs at our kitchens.

Food security project initiatives ensures a constant food presence at our establishments.

We do have farm gardens also in lower Muhokya rutoke, kirembe and at our rukoki campus.

With Science, we can progress

Attached are some images of corn 🌽 harvesting moments.

Food security project initiatives are currently boosted by the Nonprofit Industrial Complex  and GlobalGiving funds. You too can contribute to the food basket for it needs an input of financial and material resources and good farming practices.

UHST SCHOLARSHIPS

Kasese Humanist School Badge

UHST seeks funds to provide scholarships to enable bright children from challenging backgrounds to attend Humanist High Schools as boarders. Boarding provides a supervised environment where children feel safe and can study, live and enjoy the company of others without the threat of harassment. This is important for orphaned boys and girls and for others whose home circumstances are far from ideal.

UHST welcomes donations which are monthly transmitted to the partner school. Kasese Humanist School is happy to being part of the UHST family.

This is the link to making scholarship payment though UHST or sending directly to the Bank account of the partner School.

Empowerment and rights awareness: Education teaches children about their rights and responsibilities, encouraging civic participation.

Gender equality: Educating girls helps bridge gender gaps and challenges traditional gender roles.

Reduced crime rates: Education is linked to lower crime and greater social stability.

Human capital development: A well-educated population is essential for Uganda’s development in sectors like health, agriculture, and technology.

Innovation and technology: Education fosters innovation and supports the growth of science and technology.

Cooking area tiled, chimney added!

The cooking 🍳 area for the Municipal High Humanist School kitchen is now done courtesy of financial resources contributed by the school director in a phased manner.

Am so grateful of this accomplishment and my dream is seeing πŸ‘€ it be in use. The kitchen has an inbuilt store room, will add a serving table, extra window as a serving point and will add a coat of paint in its interior walls.

Attached are some pictures of the cooking stoves fixing exercise.
