Humanist values

Humanist values emphasize the importance of human dignity, individual rights, and reason.

 Key principles include:

1. Respect for Human Rights: Advocating for equality and justice for all individuals.

2. Critical Thinking: Encouraging rational inquiry and skepticism rather than dogma.

3. Empathy and Compassion: Fostering understanding and care for others.

4. Ethical Responsibility: Promoting ethical behavior based on human welfare rather than religious doctrines.

5. Self-Determination: Supporting personal freedom and autonomy in making life choices.

6. Community and Cooperation: Valuing social bonds and collective action to improve society.

Overall, humanism seeks to create a more just and humane world through a focus on human experience and reason.

Kasese Humanist School is happy to play an active role in promoting these values to itself, the children and communities where we work and truly we have not remained the same.

We promote GIRL CHILD EDUCATION

Girl child education in Uganda has seen significant progress over the years, but challenges remain.

Key points include:

1. Access and Enrollment: Enrollment rates for girls have improved, with initiatives aimed at reducing barriers such as poverty, early marriage, and cultural attitudes that prioritize boys' education.

2. Government Policies: The Ugandan government has implemented policies like Universal Primary Education (UPE) and Universal Secondary Education (USE) to promote education for all, including girls.

3. Challenges: Despite improvements, girls still face obstacles such as gender-based violence, inadequate sanitation facilities in schools, and the impact of adolescent pregnancy.

4. Community Initiatives: Various NGOs and community programs focus on raising awareness about the importance of educating girls and providing scholarships and support.

5. Impact of Education: Educating girls leads to improved health, economic stability, and empowerment, contributing positively to community development.

Continued efforts are needed to address the remaining challenges and ensure equal educational opportunities for all girls in Uganda.

Emphasizing on EQUALITY is very important,  more boys and girls are needed in school  for each one of them has a role to play.
